Thrifty Car Rental

One hour wait just to pick up car. Line is even longer than when we arrived. Gotta hire some more desk clerks or allow online or more efficient process. Unfortunately the process would be more efficient if they didnt try to upsell. Also apparently they didnt have compact cars available so we had to wait extra time to wait for a compact car instead of them giving us an available midsize car.

Absolutely ridiculous they won't allow you to rent a car cause I live in Sacramento & my bank card from Wells Fargo is a debit, so they refused to work with me, even though I made a reservation months in advance. They told me my money is no good I could only use debit if I didn't live in the same zip code. Terrible customer service and no posted information about debit cards. Worst 1st experience not again thank you Thrifty

Andre was our agent and helped us breeze through picking up our vehicle while also being genuinely happy, helpful, and eventually hilarious. Best car pick up experience I've had.

The worst customer service! Plus even when you say NO to extra services and NO to extra insurance they still double charge you. This is fraud. The Sacramento airport is the one we used and never again! They will be reported to BBB.

Made a reservation for 3/2 and had to wait 2-1/2hr in line before getting to counter. Had to accept a vehicle for additional $25 + taxes because reserved car was not available. This car had almost bald tires ( 3/32 thread all tires)which I didn;'t notice until heavy rain made the car hydroplane. Cust service was horrible; roadside assistance a nightmare and no-one could connect me to the rental counter to help me. Had to extend my trip with 2 days and change flight from SMF to SFO and was charged almost 4X the original amount of the reservation. No Thrifty person present at the return rental counter at SFO to voice my complaints and show the evidence car inspection of the unsafe car. in 30 years of traveling and rental cars, this was absolutely the worst experience. This company should not be in business and Herz their owner shouldn't be either
