55+ FountainGlen at Pasadena

This is my first 55+ apartment and I have had a wonderful experience from application to move-in September 2022. The Community Manager Eunice is AMAZING!!! I hope she stays here forever! Smart, Efficient, Organized, Compassionate and Fair. The communication between Eunice and her team members Jeanette, Matt and Bernie is excellent and they execute their jobs with perfection! My apartment was just gorgeous upon move in. MATT is the man! He could not have done any more to make my apartment ready for move in than he did. Bernie has also been so helpful in making the building first rate. Eunice and her assistant manager Jeanette work so well together and their follow-up on any of my questions or requests has been prompt and positive! The other tenants are so friendly and they make a new tenant feel welcome. But it all starts at the top with our Community Manager. My grand-daughter loves to visit me here often when I pick her up after school. She refers to our visits as going to the resort! I feel so lucky to be living here where it is beautiful, safe and conveniently 9 miles away from my new job.

SO. MANY. SMOKERS.This is supposed to be a nonsmoking property. Nowhere on the property are you allowed to smoke (it is actually illegal to smoke on any property with two or more units in the city of Pasadena... cigarettes, marijuana, etc.). The problem? Management doesn't really mean it. I spoke to management in great detail about the smoking policy prior to moving in (they promised they dealt with smoking swiftly and fully). Unfortunately, this is not true. When I notified management about cigarette smoke coming into my unit from internal sources, they reminded the units around mine that smoking was prohibited.  When this did nothing, I contacted them again. They then told me that they were going to happen to be in the suspected smoker's apartment due to a requested repair but of course, smokers know how to get rid of the evidence when given ample notice, as was the case here.  After that, the management team started insisting they could not smell the cigarettes in my apartment themselves (even though all of my friends and family and even several neighbors have witnessed it) so they dropped it.  Of course, now the smoker knows they are protected and have begun revenge smoking. I happen to be allergic so this is an emergency for me.  I am leaving urgently even though I do not have a new place lined up.  For two months I suffered while trusting them to solve such a dangerous situation.  Several of my neighbors have asthma, COPD and other health issues.  This is a senior property that has a fair amount of us with chronic illnesses and disabilities so smoking of any kind is a severe danger.  If a nonsmoking complex is important to you, this is not your place. If you are a smoker, well, WELCOME!

I moved into FountainGlen one month ago and I'm really impressed, why, maintenance and cleanliness are huge on their list of priorities . The property is very well maintained , of course that's because of the experts staff that you see moving about all day taking care of the needs of the residents and facility.     I'd like to extend my personal thanks to Eunice Montellano ( community manager) for helping me to orchestrate the move in process and I must give a much earned applause to her for our Luau event , that was so very well done, my hat off to you and the caterer. I understand why the residents of FountainGlen are so nice and happy. FountainGlen takes good care to assist with that happiness. Thanks to all staff apart of FountainGlen. E. Mitchell
