Decent selection and they have rentals. I've stopped by twice though and nobody seems to have time to help me give their store money.
Update* Went back to check out the snowboard deals. Nobody was on the floor so I finally tracked someone down who sent over a guy from rentals. He couldn't answer any of my questions(Really simple one, which boards are on sale?). He also made it very apparent he was frustrated at having to be over there, however he did work hard at trying to figure out the simple question. In the end I rented, that went smoothly.
Stopped by today again..just hoping for some water proofing spray for my boots. walked up to counter and the guy behind the register completely avoided eye contact while the guy next to him played with his phone. I walked out. This place will get no more money from me.

I went to four stores in Berkeley to find backpacking gear. Any Mountain had the lowest prices and best service. I payed primarily with cash and when their card reader was taking too long to charge the balance, the cashier gave me a discount and ended up giving me cash back. Made my day! Highly recommend.
