Firstly, I want to say - Thank you to Ann Taylor for refunding me after I was sent an incorrect dress. In Sept of 2021, I purchased two dresses from Ann Taylor online but both shipped separately - the first dress was fantastic like all my other AT dresses but the disappointment started when I received the 2nd dress. I immediately got in contact with AT per Chat the day I received it, I explained to him/her the situation and got a reference number. He did say that I would receive an email confirmation but that never happened. Just to be sure of an alternate resolution that was reached, I called the closest AT to me (this one) to clarify the scenario and it seemed good to go.
Long and behold, I come into the store and try to convince the sales associate that the dress I ordered was not the dress I received. Even though the number matched on the tag/style number, I believe what had happened was, that I did not purchase the dress fast enough and AT switched it because when I went back to look at the dress that I had purchased, it was out of stock. I tried to explain that the dress was NOT the dress I ordered - and it's 100% true - I have never seen it before it came in the mail. Not to mention, when I go to my browser history, I find exactly the dress I looked at and even per my receipt, the dress name " Petite Tie Shoulder" does not match what I got....there is no tie shoulder. Overall, I have no reason to be dishonest and it seems to me that the sales associate wasn't too interested in me proving my case (I suppose that's the CRJ part of me). As a note to Ann Taylor, if something goes out of stock, do not change the item to something 180 different, just refund the customer. I really like AT but my in-store experiences have just been..lackluster to say the least. As someone who has worked extensively in customer service, today's service was just not up to par.
