My husband got a motorcycle financed recently. The lady(Jhanay) that took care of us was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to get to know us as people as we were processing our loan. She was very professional and made our choice of using Alaska Federal feel like a really good one in knowing well be taken good care of. She set us up with online Bill pay and walked us through all of the relevant details of the process beautifully. Thank you!

Well, when you are financing a vehicle, or two, its nice to have a credit union you can rely on where the employees respect your time, and your concerns. Alaska USA is definitely not one of those credit unions. I cancelled my extended warranty, back in September of this year, for a vehicle I purchased. The dealership finally sent a check to Alaska USA in October. So, kudos to the dealership, also, for taking care of things when its best for them, and not me. Alaska USA signed for the FedEx packet containing a check for the cancellation of my extended warranty on 10/28/2020. Today is 11/25/2020, and the amount of the check still has not been applied to my outstanding balance. Thats fine. Lets leave that alone. What kills me is the fact that, when I call Alaska USA to discuss this issue, I need to set aside at least an hour in order to finally get transferred to these senior service representatives who will tell me I can F%K off but in a nice way. Yes, they have mastered that art. After getting transferred to five different people before that, all of whom state that the person who transferred me to them did not tell them what my issue was. I finally received a voicemail from someone, from Alaska USA, who left me their phone number and asked me to call back. So, I did on my 35 minute lunch break. This time, I spoke with one person who told me I needed to speak with a senior service representative, and placed me on hold to get one on the phone for me. If I knew her name, I would request putting her name on a milk carton because she never returned, and Im afraid shes still out, walking in the cold, trying to find a senior service representative. I was on hold for 30 minutes, and had to hang up because Ive got a job to do so that I can pay Alaska USA for the car I am financing through them. If there is one thing that I can promise Alaska USA, its this... I will NEVER, I repeat, NEVER, be doing business with you again. I cannot wait until I can withdraw the $5.00 from the savings account you practically forced me into opening when I got the loans through you. Let me assure you that when I do, you will never have the chance to earn my business again. You see, its not that I blame you for not finding the check, or trying to track it down. Your customer service just sucks. I would much rather pay a higher interest rate, and get results with another bank. After all, there are many of them out there. You should probably remember that.
