Avis Car Rental

I would give a zero rating if available. The return attendant was unprofessional and provided poor customer service. He recorded the fuel level as empty despite the vehicle being full. He obviously did not know how to read the display. My request for a receipt was met with indifference; I could have prevented a $170 erroneous fuel charge had I been provide the receipt. Instead, I was notified by the e-receipt.

My experience was so bad a few days ago, I had to call the corporate office. Unfortunately, we have to use Avis because we get the best deals. If anybody knows a better way to get an Avis rental car outside the airport And the service is better, please advise.

Beware- They Over Charged for not bringing the car back full. Lucky I had both gas receipts and photos of the gauge. Rip Off!

I had issues with my rental from the start. I booked over the phone and i asked the guy twice if he was sure they would have a car available big enough to fit 7 people. He reassured me that we would get something big. We then go to pick up the rental and the 2 ladies at the front desk acted like this was their first day. They first tried to tell me my reservation was canceled and then when they finally found it they were trying to give me a Chrysler 300. We went back and forth for a few minutes and they finally found us something big enough which the car we got was still alot smaller then the car I initially booked. And mind you i paid extra for the bigger vehicle. Then they asked for my credit card for the hold and when i looked at the charge they charged me $901!!! Thry basically disregarded my previous reservation which i already paid for and charger me for awhole other rental!! I had to call customer service to get the first reservation refunded. And then when we finally got into the rental it smelled like weed! And it was a strong smell. I had my 4 year old daughter with me and i had to call somebody to come pick her up because i was not putting her in a car that smelled strong of weed. I will never rent a car from Avis again!!
