TRYP by Wyndham New York City Times Square South

Overall its a fine choice. Good location with easy access to the subway A, C and E lines right at the end of the block. Fast food at the corner and a CVS around the block. Hudson Yards and the Skyline are just a few minutes walk. Room was clean and orderly. The breakfast buffet, while not quite a value at $20 was tasty even if limited in selection. Why 4 and not 5: no plush robe as advertised right on the Wyndham site. I booked a King but they put me in a Queen without telling me at check in. I guess they thought I would not notice. I was in the back so I didnt hear any sirens from the police station next-door but the A/C unit is quite loud. (I also happened to be next to a family suite with children that use the furniture as toys until 1 AM. Not the hotels fault.) I would also point out they keep the heat on in the lobby/bar/restaurant at an uncomfortable warm level for me. Rooms: Modern and well maintained. Walkability: Easy access to the subway and Hudson Yards for a walk down the skyline.

Well if you like a little noise, being by a police precinct, then you will love this hotel. Me and my family stayed at this hotel last year around this time. Did not like putting me and my family's bags in an open room while waiting for room.This time it was alot of construction work going on across the street. I must say that everything in my room worked but was very small. Smaller than the room last year and not what my wife had asked for while booking. I understand that this is New York, but for the brand name it could be better. Especially with having free breakfast which this hotel does not. Walkability: Very close to TimeSquare, Madison Square Garden. Close to many places to eat

This time around the noise level was horrible. The police with there unnecessary noise the construction worker early in the morning Monday to Friday I may have gotten per day 2 to 4 hr of sleep d be very careful when you book here the location is great the noise level is horrible it wasn't like this 2023 in April Rooms: Clean large kids friendly alot of channels on the TV Nearby activities: Time Square wax museum restaurants Safety: Next to a police station Walkability: Close to time Square and attraction and restaurants Food & drinks: You have alot of eatery within 3 t0 10 minutes walk

Website said that there was a microwave in the room but after checking in desk clerk said she could add one for $10/night. Coffee maker in the room had luke warm water. Free breakfast turned out to be $21/person. Will not stay here again.

The location is legendary, the rooms are spacious, the staff is friendly and helpful, the air conditioner is very noisy, but if I were to come again, I would stay in the same hotel without thinking again. Rooms: Renovated and spacious Safety: There is a police station next to it, but people pass by shouting at night. The reception is open 24 hours a day. Walkability: Walking distance to everywhere, at least it was for me
