One of those places you dont want to talk about or your afraid it will effect your chances to enjoy. Honestly, a discount army hotel in midtown Manhattan? Who would want to lose access to that?? I have been so many times to this hidden gem. And I'm confident if all military knew about this small place, I would never get a reservation again. But I will try not to be selfish and send out the good word regardless. The solidly build Victorian like building is on the east side of midtown, and yet still walking distance to all the key things. And it's near Grand Central station, the best spot to catch a train. The people working here are great; always helpful and positive. And I gotta say, the bagels donated and in the kitchen and the perfect way to start a New York day. Even if I am in a hurry, I will toast one up every morning. Sure it doesn't have TV's in the rooms, and beds are extremely basic, but when matched up at rate, it's the best place to stay in town.
