Hertz Car Rental - Los Angeles - LAX Hilton Hotel HLE

Lousy experience. The person at the counter treated us horribly. Upon picking up the car, his system did not accept any of our credit cards. Instead of trying to help us, he told us it was our problem and brushed it off. After half an hour, we managed to get one of the credit cards accepted. Already in a hurry because we had to start our trip, we saw that the car did not seem to correspond to the category that we had paid for. We had hired an intermediate SUV, Nissan Rogue One or similar. However, we were given a Nissan Kicks... When we complained, he assured us that it was of the same category. Since we were in a hurry, we left with that car. That night, with plenty of time and a long way from Los Angeles, we confirmed on the Internet that we had been deceived and it was an inferior model [both models are seen in the photo]. We had a 25-day trip ahead of us in which we were not going to pass through any city. At the end of the tour in San Francisco, the person in charge of that office was very surprised at what they had done to us. He acknowledged that we would be entitled to an apology and compensation, but he could only stop charging us the $140 we had to pay him there. It was the fee for returning the car in a different city. Upon returning to Spain, we presented our complaint to the Hertz headquarters in the US. Not only did they not apologize to us, but they said that the $140 compensation was enough. $140 for a lower category on a 25 day rental. We were cheated

We had a great experience with Hertz! The only downfall was the wait time, but it still wasnt horrible. The employees were so kind to us and upgraded us to an amazing car that was clean and gave us no problems.

We booked an suv and they gave us another car which was cheaper in value but we have still paid the suv price. They didnt give the car full of gas so its more tricky to return at same level and we had the issue on return as we couldnt be precise as to how much to put in. The other thing is the staff put the wrong information on the rental agreement as to what gas level was in the car when picked up. Fortunately we have taken a picture before driving it because we have been told when dropped off that we were supposed to return it with even more fuel which is completely wrong. In summary insufficient information and poor customer service. The car itself was nice to drive but was not cleaned properly and had plenty of damages no one took the time to write it down or explain anything. No one checked the car with us. We were just given the keys and told we had to go pick up the car from by garage by ourselves.
