Hampton Inn & Suites Milwaukee Downtown

Horrible customer service; cancelled confirmed reservation without explanation and blamed Corporate Hilton for a scheduling issue. Not one Hilton family with this location. Noteworthy details: Bad customer service

A month after I booked a reservation at this hotel it was cancelled. I'm not sure the point of making reservations if this doesn't hold a room for you. Because of this delay, there were no other hotel rooms that were available in downtown Milwaukee on the date in question. There was no effort made in trying to make this right (not only wasn't the reservation honored, but there were no offers or incentives provided to address the situation). I would recommend booking another hotel when staying in downtown Milwaukee.

I booked here 3 weeks in advanced to go to a Bucks game. I tried to check in 3 different times. Two of the times they assured me that my room would be ready if I would just come back at a different time. Knowing this I came back for a third time at around midnight. And then being informed that the hotel room has no rooms for us. The attendant said they would give me a refund but after 2 weeks they didnt even initiate the refund. I would suggest to pay the extra 30-40 bucks and stay at a different hotel.

I stayed here for the weekend back at the end of March 2024. Upon check-in, the hotel was having several issues with their payment system. It stated that I had prepaid for my room (which I did) and they still charged my card for the 2 nights. This was supposed to be reimbursed immediately and never was. Once walking into our room, there were no pillows on the bed and all the furniture was moved away from the walls about 1-2 feet. There was also no hot water throughout the duration of our stay (2 nights). When I talked to the front desk about this issue, they told me that they would totally reimburse our stay for the inconveniences. Several days later, I found that the hotel had charged me 5 times total for the stay and did not send any reimbursements for the extra charges or the original room fees. I have called the hotel several times to have this issue resolved and they have not been able to help, stating they would call me back with more info. Never received a call back.

The location is great, the rest of the Hotel is Disappointing at best. Elevators are broken, wifi did not work, the refrigerator was loud, and none of the doors in the room would close properly.
