        My coworker hit a deer at night that left the car undrivable. After spending 3+ hours on the phone with Budgets emergency assistance department, their solution was for us to sleep in the car and call back in the morning. This was in the middle of nowhere Wisconsin, where we knew nobody, and the weather was 5 degrees. Because its a rental, we had no emergency kit with warming blankets or snacks or anything.

        They constantly nail you with extra surprise costs and fees. Their "regulations" and "security measures" only serve to make things more difficult for you. The only reason why we rented through them is because they were the only ones available on short notice.
