My wife and I made a reservation for this weekend that we couldn't attend due to my wife being hospitalized for illness. I contacted the hotel and they said we could re-book on a different date without a cancellation fee. When I got in touch later, they went back on their word and said that they would be keeping the entirety of the booking cost and not allowing us to re-book. I'm very disappointed in the blatant greed and disregard for circumstance that this hotel has displayed, and I will never set foot in this building, or any other Marriott property again. Disgusting behavior.

The W Seattle was a great hotel with a wonderful location. We were able to walk to every place we wanted to go. Shoutout to Trinity who checked us in and she was extremely helpful, friendly and was very welcoming.

Grading on a bit of a curve. We paid well over $200 per night. Room was clean and a bit small. Bed was fine. View from the room changed every day depending on the car parked in front of it. All you could see was the mega car park about 10 feet from the window. They add a resort fee of $25 plus the ubiquitous tax onto your room reservation. The resort fee is because this hotel must be your last resort. No pool, no sauna, no Jacuzzi. It certainly is no "resort." Breakfast was very limited and expensive. $70 for two even though we both skipped coffee and drank water. The room is also kind of a vending machine. Want that bottle of water, add $4.00 to the bill. There is a refrigerator but it is to be used only for the overpriced drinks they want you to buy. Likewise one of the drawers. Which has only candy for sale. It feels like you paid about 250 a night (after fees and tax) to stay in a vending machine. The location is good and it is clean but nothing else recommends this place.

The hotel is looking quite old and need a serious refresh. The amenities have slowly been reduced over the years plus the restaurant is more a cafeteria. This doesn't reflect a premium brand. Location is good for downtown shopping or convention centre.

While they still market this hotel as a W, it is NOT A W HOTEL. Other than the W on the building and the MOMO Shampoo, nothing about this outdated property is a W. The quality of the management is terrible. Everything aspect of the property and it's amenities are outdated. All of that aside, I would have never taken the time to leave a negative review until I had medication stolen from my room and the manager's response was that, "I must have dropped it" and that, "My staff never lies." They also tried to double charge me for a portion of my bill and when brought to the attention of staff, the response was, "Oops, I don't know had that happened." There is a proper W Hotel right across the lake in Bellevue, so if you are looking for a traditional W experience, I urge you to stay away from the W Hotel in Seattle. I wish there was a way to give it zero stars. In the area, the Renaissance and Weston are far better maintained properties. The Astra is a far superior hotel. I truly wish management could have been honest and treat a Titanium Elite Member with the slightest bit of respect. An honest answer of, "Mistakes happen and we're sorry" would have been reasonable, but the response (to paraphrase the manager){you are wrong and our staff couldn't possibly have made a mistake} is simply unacceptable. Safety: In a city struggling with tourism and how visitors perceive it's safety, this hotel truly needs to do better.
