Has been my doctor for hormone replacement therapy for the past 2 years. Dr. McKenzie is amazing and and I recommend her to any trans-folk who are interested in the inter-muscular injections for hormone therapy. Unfortunately I left because I was interested more in doing sub-q injections which is something she doesnt practice. Only 4 stars because they can be very hard to get ahold of, I usually have to leave a voice message and they will reach back out to you within the next 1-3 business days.

Dr. Serena McKenzie, ND and I have collaborated for many years using a mind-body approach to sexuality. Her expertise in sexual medicine is thorough and brilliant! Before moving to Seattle in 2008, I worked at UCLAs FEMALE SEXUAL MEDICINE CENTER. There I received little mentoring on the medical side. By contrast, Dr. McKenzie likes explaining, likes teaching; consequently, I have learned (and so do her patients) how she often eliminates physical pain, balances hormones, reduces stress and deals successfully with female and male problems that require medical intervention. Too many doctors take a Dont ask, and she wont tell, and thank God she doesnt say a word approach to libido. Not Dr. McKenzie! She talks to her patients often alleviating their sexual stressors. She knows that human sexuality is too fascinating and too important; therefore, her study of sexual physiology what happens, and why, and how to make it happen better is a huge part of her professional work.
