Cleanest care facility I've ever been in. The memory care staff is the most patient and considerate. They take excellent care of my mom

My grandfather was there for a 11 days. During the day when I was there the care was good. At night it was another story. I went in and expressed my concern about them giving him so many narcotics and is negative reaction to them. He gets really confused, combative and sometimes hallucinates. He called me one night wanting to leave, minutes later the nurse called stating he was non-compliant and running the staff ragged. When I got there they were rude to me, refused to let me speak to an administrator. They ended up calling the police and forcing me to take my grandfather home against my wishes, he was still combative and hallucinating. He ended up in the ER the next day.

Took my grandfather here for a 5 day respite with hospice. We had been caring for him 24/7 for 11+ months. We tried to explain how little things help (like how he loves his wafer cookies or his little red cough drops.) But, NO one wanted to listen, even the paperwork we filled out was ignored! The nurse (Rita) wouldn't even bother to walk 15 feet with us to meet him and cover basics. My grandpa has Alzheimer's and can't communicate very well. He is a veteran and a retired law enforcement member. They didn't keep an eye on him and let him slide to the floor from his wheelchair, which we had provided a soft pillow to sit on, they didn't use it, no wonder my poor grandpa was uncomfortable! Then when his stay was over, they didn't even put his slippers on him for his return trip! They didn't call to let me know to pick up his personal items and lost 2 pairs of his pajamas, multiple under shirts, etc! Plus checking him over after his stay we saw that his feet were very swollen. Not normal for him! They want over $9,200 a month for that type of care! I had never seen my grandfather so exhausted, we were so scared he wouldn't make it that first night home from THERE. Thankfully less than 24 hours of being out of THAT place he perked up, was eating and smiling again. We spoke with their representative, she is supposed to address the lack of care. But, bottom line is this lack of care could have killed my grandfather... So grateful he made it and is now doing well again. The sad fact is my grandpa is blessed enough to have his family looking out for him... I can't imagine what the people in this facility go through who don't have family checking up on them! My grandpa's "roommate" Will waited at least 2 hours for ice/water while we visited. I wanted so badly to get him some cold water, but not knowing his medical needs I just kept asking different staff members. At least 3 said "of course be right back with ice or cold water." NONE ever gave him water or ice in the over 2 hours we were there... Bottom line IF you use this facility be prepared to constantly check up on your loved one! And the prices for the care is terrible, consider a private adult family home instead.
