Our mom had a stroke and was sent here from the hospital across the street. This place should be shut down or have an independent consulting firm clean house. Mom had another stroke this morning 02-09-2024 and the staff had no idea. I demanded that they call 911 and mom was admitted to the hospital across the street. A cat scan revealed she did have another stroke. I don't believe training can help some of the staff at Prestige Post-Acute and Rehab Center. They don't have what it takes to care for loved ones.

My mom went there after a surgery to regain some strength and mobility before going home. She was quite a bit worse after her stay at Prestige. She had a bedsore that was never looked after, she also has an infection/sores - to compound these issues she is incontinent due a medical issue. She needed to be changed and gently cleaned often. One male CNA came in at night and instead of changing her he just put on another brief over the wet one and left. PT was virtually non-existent. After seeing her use her walker once or twice they determined she was ok to walk on her own . WTH??! She never ever got a sponge bath, which she requested, but was instead almost forced to have a shower. If you have a choice. Do not come here.

My dad was in room 105 and has a pacemaker just installed and for falling has a left knee that is bleeding instability issues and the staff will not listen to him he requested the doctor and was told on call only and never saw the doctor, as to the staff when he says be careful of injuries and the staff would not write on chalk board to be careful of both issues so staff had no idea how to take care of the patient or pretended to not care of the request for help or lack of so I have tried to get ahold of admin manager and as of date no call and lack of staff care to get him ready for recovery and then release I like to know why asap to get him some help. update the admin. Called and stated she will fix said issues I will change ratings when resolved.so after talking to administrator nothing resolved at this point so a lot of promises but my dad is doing good at home now. Furthermore I was on the phone with my dad when he couldnt eat lunch around 3pm I was talking to him until after 5pm after a staff told him she would be right back she never came back and and a daily thing no service. They claimed they checked on him in 5minutes after he hit the red call button not true and after the staff would show hour or more they didnt do the request or help bathe patient etc. Some good but I would walk out if I was the patient. Dad calls it the funny farm. Since I caught them doctoring the books and complained they sent the police contacting our home I would never use them again period for their behavior. They should be ashamed. So if you use prestige you might need an attorney to sue if you complain about the abuse from the staff and very sad. Owner never has claimed anything different of what Ive claimed. Now Ive been told by owner they have been working with me and not a resolution or any live contact from owner to discuss what transpired with staff and patient and they prestige has the number of the patient if owner wants to resolve complaint in a timely manner. Update- the owner never contacted but the administrator two months later and stated she had a copy of discharge from hospital and my closure of this complaint I would like a copy of this patients report to be sent to him from the hospital release to the rehab center of what was requested before entering into this center on drugs follow-up dates and reasons for medication in other words the discharge paperwork and since I couldnt be there for movement of patient I was left out of the loop to request for this patients paperwork upon release from hospital or rehab, I requested in rehab and was told Digital and when delivered patient home which was appropriate at the time no release paperwork for follow up appointments, if you would send to patients address would be appreciated.
