Updating my previous review, it has now been more than 12 months since the garage gate has been broken. They tell us the part they need to repair it is backordered from the vendor, we have not received ANY updates or estimated timelines, we want TRANSPARENCY PLEASE. They also say there's a security guard late at night, as far as I can tell they are lying about that. Perhaps it's time to ask Pat Blackburn to step in personally. EDIT: They apologize for the slight INCONVENIENCE of the garage being broken? For 8 months? FIX THE PROBLEM.

Update: Since Gates Hudson the maintenance and office staff has not been as responsive as previously with Avalon, plus the garage gate has been broken since. Other than these still overall a good building. Very nice experience for the first half year of my stay here. The maintenance can fix smaller requests within one day. The office staff are friendly and helpful and professional. The only thing is that, like some other reviews mentioned, some of the elevators are out of service quite often.

This is my 11th year living in this safe, convenient and beautiful community. The management and office team are very receptive and committed to provide the best home environment. Facilities are kept clean daily by dedicated staff and maintenance requests are handled fast and efficiently. As a result, Park Crest Hudson is a great place to live!

I lived here for 13 months. Overall the place is very well taken care of and clean. I have not see a single cockroach since I moved here (even though I lived in proximity to the trash rooms). Quick maintenance response shout out to Henry. The location is not bad too. The gym is spacious and clean. Also, its very nice to have the washer/dryer in-unit and not shared. Cleanliness and location are kind of the two major things for me personally, therefore I enjoyed living here. I moved out once they increased the rent to which it made no sense to continue living here while there are better options. There were some cons though. I would recommend living here, only after coming-in and seeing the apartment yourself and check for the cons below if it is deal breaker to you Cons: * Previous comments about the garage gate are very true. In the last 13 months I only saw it working for like a week. Then it broke and wouldnt open while my car is stuck inside. I had to Uber to work that day. The garage is small too. * The building is very confusing(from parking, entry, exist, walking inside) I see delivery drivers lost frequently. I never get anything delivered to me without headache. Heck, I even had to guide the police one time as they were all confused of the building layout. There are no signs to help. On my move-in date, I asked for directions to my apartment and the lady on front office told me to get lost until I find it * There is no signal in most parts of the building no data no reception, at least that was for me (AT&T). This includes the gym, garage, hallways, half of my apartment. They are hooked up for Fios so I didnt mind it too much * The balcony on 2nd floor is shared with your neighbors * The walls are paper thin, I got unlucky since my neighbors on both side argue and fight all the time

Gates Hudson is an awful company (an update): About three and a half months after I moved out, Gates billed me for damages they claim I made to my apartment. Confused, I replied with an email asking for more information and after multiple calls and at least 6 emails requesting more information on what they were charging me for, Gates refused to assist at every turn. They claimed that they couldn't give me the information unless I emailed them, even going so far as to tell me that they have a company rule that prohibits them from requesting the information on my behalf even when I was on the phone with them. They claimed that they failed to receive all of the emails I sent to them, and they eventually decided to try to go around me and get the money from my family instead, and they even took the time to remind me that not paying would hurt my credit score in an attempt to scare me into paying without getting more information on what was happening. No matter how many emails I sent, they claimed they did not receive them, and no matter how many times I called they played dumb and said their hands were tied and could not help me. To potential renters, save yourself the trouble and find a less greedy and insidious company to rent from. To Gates Hudson, I have paid your bill against my better judgement and I look forward to hearing whatever defense you come up with to excuse your abhorrent behavior this time.
