I am writing this review due my terrible experience with Advanced Plumbing. I called Advanced Plumbing to come and service my hot water heater. It was not providing enough hot water. I had lived in the house for a few years and had never had an issue with the water heater. The technician said that the water heater needed rebuilt. After he rebuilt it, I had hot water. I paid the invoice of $651.00. The next day I was walking through the garage to go to work and I noticed water leaking out of the water heater. I took a picture and sent it along with an email to Advanced Plumbing. The responder said that she would talk to the technician. She wrote me back and said that the hot water heater was already like that so it was a preexisting condition and that they would charge me a $60.00 trip charge as well as the cost to fix the water heater. Obviously this was insane. I went back and forth with them for a few weeks and they were uncompromising. I decided to call another plumbing company. The technician from the new company inspected the water tank and said that it needed replaced. I told him about the previous service from Advanced Plumbing and he said that it should have never been rebuilt because the bottom was starting to rust. His view was that they were either incompetent or wanted to make more of a profit by rebuilding the water heater. Due to how they had treated me I went with the latter. I paid for the new water heater and sent correspondence to Advanced Plumbing telling them what had occurred. They were uninterested and declined to offer me any type of relief or compensation. I am writing this review in the hopes of warning other potential customers. I never have a problem paying a fair price for services but it really bothers me to be ripped off and taken advantage of. I feel like Advanced Plumbing stole from me. In case anyone from Advanced Plumbing replies and says that I am referencing another Advanced Plumbing (as I have seen in responses to other complaints) this is the Advanced Plumbing located at: 5324 Distributor Dr. Richmond, VA 23225. Its easy to write a positive review for trade work when everything goes great and costs less than you planned. Its easy to write a nasty review when everything goes wrong and costs more than you expected. Advanced Plumbing has given me the chance to review a job that did not go well and yet they made right. The gory details of what happened are not particularly important. We needed three leaky faucets and one leaky pipe repaired. It took longer than expected and cost more as a result. And everything wasnt really fixed when they were done. After we (I hope fairly reasonably) communicated our concerns, Advanced Plumbing sent a technician back (for a few hours) to clean up the loose ends at no charge. The repairs were all done to our complete satisfaction. Then, on their own accord, they reviewed the complete situation and refunded us about 25% of the total invoice. I am sure Advanced Plumbings business model does not include messing things up and working for free. Im sure they always want to get things right the first time and as quickly as possible. But when things went wrong (as they will for all of us), Advanced Plumbing stepped up and did the right thing. Ill be calling them back. Services: Faucet repair, Plumbing leak repair

I would like to say this has been a exhausting journey that taught me many lessons. It all started with a leak in the crawl space. Not having much experience being in a home, I took advice from others. It started with a home warranty, google search, then picking someone. I tried several businesses to include the home warranty. I came across Advance Plumbing and a perfect gentleman named Justin arrived for the estimate. He diagnosed the problem and advised the best action to take. It took a few days to get the quote back, so I tried others. The ones I tried were not as professional as Justin. When I finally got the quote from Advanced Plumbing, I thought the price was steep. While looking for a lower price, I picked up on things that struck me as odd from people not returning calls to plumbers mentioning using temporary fix solutions. Justin gave a permanent solution. I thought about it for a few days and chose right. A perfect gentleman named Travis did the job and I couldn't be more appreciative. Fast forward I had a minor problem with an unrelated clog. I missed communications with Justin so took a chance with the home warranty. It was a complete waste of time and money. The company sent was totally unprofessional and didn't give 2 cents about fixing anything. The clog ultimately got fixed by another plumber but it brought me back to this. Advanced Plumbing. I would give them 10 out of 5 stars. Be patient and let these guys fix the issues you my be experiencing. Don't let the prices chase you away. Advanced Plumbing have highly intelligent men and women on their team. You are investing in other people and their families as well. They did the hard part of getting the education and training and are damn good at it. I'm the last person to kiss up to anybody, but these guys are without a doubt the best in the field. I highly recommend the organizations and stand by them. If you are having doubts, leave them now and look no future. I really don't write reviews, but its my duty to pay respect when its due.
