Candlewood Suites Richmond Airport, an IHG Hotel

Completely unacceptable service. Their website mentions offering shuttle service to and from the airport. I called the front desk at 11pm and was told they dont offer shuttle service that late at night. The next morning, I ask for the service to get back to the airport and they tell me then that it has to be requested 48 hours in advance. Either put that information on your website or dont offer the service at all. Im a platinum elite member and this is the worst service Ive ever received from an IHG hotel.

This is a nice hotel! The rooms are spacious and d quiet! The front desk staff was amazing and answered all of my questions! It was a little confusing to get into but once we got there we stayed comfortably! The only thing is the convenience store inside the hotel lobby had ice cream that was LONG overdue to be thrown out due to freezer burn! Would stay here again though!

I wish I didn't make this reservation. Smells funky. I went to the store to get bleach to clean everything. The paper towel from cleaning the remote was black. The air condition was gross. I just opened the window.

Very good rooms to spend a whole pleasant week Rooms: Apparently they don't make the beds but the room has a stove for cooking, it also has plates and glasses, a large refrigerator and a dishwasher. Safety: Everything quiet inside the hotel and outside of it

***Update 3/16/24*** Great stay this time! We really enjoy having a full size fridge while we are here in town for a convention. Tiffany at front desk has been especially sweet and goes above and beyond for the guests here! *** Some of this extended stay type hotel is pretty shabby, but it's in the process of being remodeled. I received a room on the 4th floor, which had just been completed the week prior, so the room interior was fairly nice. The bed/sheets/pillows were all excellent, identical to what you find in the Holiday Inn Express, which was the most important thing for me. My rooms were all clean and the staff was super nice and VERY helpful. The elevator is a bit special though with long frequent pauses. I was waiting to get stuck at some point. Four people in the elevator made it VERY slow. My main disappointment was that there was no pool here, which I knew prior to reserving my room. The parking lot is also pretty small for the size of the building, made even smaller by the amount of construction debris taking up a row of spots. The majority of the clientele here appear to be construction and manufacturing workers. I was also here for work and getting up early, but I don't think this would be ideal for people looking to sleep in. It wasn't rowdy, just sounds carry down the hall.
