The Bay Inn

Whoever answered the phone just now was nasty and rude beyond belief. Called to ask about check in time, and the guy snapped there were no rooms. I said "oh ok cause google is saying you have them. Thays odd" ... cuts me off yelling "No no no youre looking at the wrong date. Theres no rooms" and hung up on me. Well, heres proof google indeed says you have rooms for today. If that interaction is any indication how they treat guests, youre better elsewhere.

Small privately owned. They have done a great job renovating an old motel. Very clean, well maintained, decent beds. It is NOT a luxury hotel but it is also not at luxury pricing. I usually stay at places like HI express or Hamptons because you have a better chance of getting a decent experience. We took a chance here and we're extremely satisfied. Can't beat it for the price and we would definitely have no problem staying again or recommending to family or friends. Nearby activities: Block from the beach.

Nice, simple rooms in a quiet location. The check in was quick enough and the man at the desk worked with me knowing I was going to be leaving earlier than a time they would be available at my only real recommendations would be to fix the blinds in the room I was in. Just because it was missing a blind in the bathroom which felt a little awkward showering with. And maybe putting a heavier shower curtain. The pressure kept pushing the curtain out and wasnt keeping water from getting on the floor. Otherwise I enjoyed my stay and if Im ever in the area again I would come back.

I tried to book a room. As I work near the area. I asked to see the room of which they let me. They took a copy of my identity and they proceeded the process of booking. They told me the ground rules such as no pets and smoking. I don't smoke but I was coming along with a friend who occasionally does. I told the owner we would follow the rules. Everything was fine till he came following me into the parking lot and with a very harsh tone told me he had bad feelings about dealing with me and he won't let us stay. This really shocked me as I was in my work scrubs and had a name tag. I had no idea what I had done. In my opinion this is a very bad place to go to especially if the owner racially profiles guests. I did not see anyone upon my walk in this place, nor did i speak to this mans wife. I am so shocked he has twist the entire narrative. I simply walked in tried to make a booking, he asked me question regarding my partner and regarding smoking. I told him we would follow the rules. He seemed to be in agreement as he went on to make a copy of my id. As soon as I left he and his wife may have discussed me and he came out running and yelling at me for no reason, telling me that he doesnt trust me and he wont want to go ahead with the booking. BECAREFUL OF THIS MAN, HE NEEDS TO BE EXPOSED. You dont belong in hospitality.
