Featherstone at Kiln Creek

This is my first year residing here & I just want to say it has been an amazing experience from everyone. They really care about their residents, and its so peaceful here. I LOVE IT, they are the BEST.

I have lived here for a few years now and I have been very happy! Everyone in the office is always pleasant to speak with and the maintenance lady is just as great. I love the floor setup of the two bedroom apartment (2 adults get privacy). They are updating things outside as they become available and it looks amazing. They don't get greedy with raising the rent each lease so that's wonderful as well! I'm happy to call this my home until I can get a house of my own!

Being in Kiln Creek is great with the walking trails and perks of the community. Its zoned for Kiln Creek Elementary which is a great school. The apartments are a bit dated unless you pay extra for an updated one. My rent was increased when I had to renew my yearly lease so they could get it up to market pricing so you would have to budget for that. Walls were a bit thin but the balcony was great. I loved sitting out there. They could never seem to figure out my water bill though. Maintenance was always friendly and quick to come out but never seemed to really fix the water issue which I think came from the toilet running . It was just me and my son and was paying $200 a month in water bills which never made sense to me and always felt like I was getting ripped off even though I mentioned it multiple times to the office. Parking was great, never had issues and liked that they didnt have assigned parking which is annoying when having guests. Overall, it was a good living experience but would caution people about the water bill that is metered and billed by the property.

I was so excited about getting approved at Featherstone I was happy it was a fresh start for me and my kids I just had a new baby on June 23rd and it was very stressful searching around for a place , plus dealing with anxiety and postpatrum but once I applied for Featherstone I thought my search was over because they told me I was approved and to pay my holding fee and they will verify my employment and rental history the next day after I was told I was approved I called and paid my holding fee as soon as they opened and a hour later I called back for an update and they told me they had to deny my application AFTER ALREADY BEING APPROVED. Im so heartbroken Im back to square one searching for a place I think they Should do a full research before telling people they are approved then later saying they are denied now I am waiting on my holding fee to be returned
