Alta Moda Bridal

Really wanted to write a great review about this shop! Everyone was very nice during my appointment but I feel as though I was a bit conned into buying a sample dress. I was assured that the sample dress I wanted could be altered to fit me. After purchasing the dress and taking the project to the seamstresses that Alta Moda recommended, I was told that altering the dress to fit me would be extremely expensive (more than I paid for the actual dress). AND because so many alterations were needed, the dress wouldn't even look like the original in the end and many features would have to be removed. Because it was a final sale, I am now stuck with a sample dress that I can't get altered for myself and will have to try and sell it online to get my money back. I wish that the consultants would have been more upfront about this in the beginning instead of just trying to get me to buy a dress at all costs. Now I am stuck with a headache to deal with and will have to find a new dress which is the last thing a bride wants leading up to her wedding day. Edit: A call from your team would be great, thanks.

After going to other stores in the SLC area, Alta Moda was definitely the best! They texted me a week before to get inspiration pictures, pricing, and who is coming with me. I went with my mom and sister to the appointment and we had our own space with drinks and snacks. They were extremely helpful in finding me a dress that works for me and even added on fabric to the dress to help me imagine what the dress would look like with alterations. Very detailed orientated and explained everything moving forward. Great communication and definitely recommend!!

I had the pleasure of recently going to Alta Moda for my bridal dress, and what a fabulous experience it was! As a curvy/plus bride, I was a bit nervous, but Sam and Emily made the whole experience so wonderful! The store began communication well before my appointment, wanting to know wedding details, dress inspiration, previous dresses I had tried on, what I liked (and didn't like), and had me explore their Pinterest board so before I even got there I felt like they had a really good grasp on what I was looking for. I was so impressed with the level of care and the quality and variety of gorgeous dresses in all styles and sizes, and how well they take care of you during the appointment (snacks, retrying on dresses, making sure your people with you are happy and comfortable). I especially appreciate their patience for my many questions regarding alterations and making sure that I felt confident that my dress would fit perfect. I walked out of there so confident and happy - and with the dress of my dreams! I can't stop looking at the photos of my dress from my appointment and I can't wait to pick it up later this year! Thank you again (especially Sam, who clipped me into multiple dresses and let me talk her ear off) for making this such a wonderful experience.

At the start of my appointment I made it very clear what my price range was. As I began trying on dresses the manager pulled something 3k more than my range. When I pointed this out to the stylist her response was, oh the manager doesnt know your price range. Both the manager and the stylist were pretentious and uptight. As I was leaving with my friend, I asked if I could take a picture of their notes so I could know which dresses I had tried on and had liked. The stylist responded by saying that it was confidential information and I wasnt allowed to see it. Prior to this appointment, I had visited this store with a friend who spent over 5k on her wedding dress. The way I was treated versus my friend was very upsetting and extremely telling of the shops values. I would not recommend going here if you want to be treated kindly and to have your price boundaries respected. This place is snooty and the manager had a terrible attitude and seemed deeply self involved. Couldnt help but think about the scene in Pretty Women where Julia Roberts visits a high end store and is made to feel like a peasant! Alta Moda is what makes the bridal industry an awful one!
