Our city council is a joke. I personally spoke with Steven Peterson in the District 10 office on SAPD's lack of response to landlords regarding vehicles being broke into, the homeless camp behind the property, their lack of response time to squatters breaking in our units, etc. and was told he'd reach out to the same SAPD Sgt. Jackson that I complained about but there wasn't much he could do. He then asked if we have security? So what your saying is I need to hire private security??? As for the homeless camp that we have had the city go thru our property 2x for in the last 2 years he tried to say they've cleared that out numerous times. Like I haven't been here to see it first hand and take down a gate to allow access to?? But give them a reason to blame landlords for frozen pipes thru out the city, etc. and boy that's a news bite they will jump on. Maybe Mr. Whyte and his office should remember he ran on a platform to be tougher on crime. Another politician that can't keep his word.
