        I always supported this program and believed it was there to do good, but after being denied support when I really need it, it makes me wonder what good it is if it only helps liars and bums.

        I applied for emergency utility assistance to help pay my energy bill after losing both of my roommates during the initial COVID lock-downs (they moved back in with their parents), which put me down $750 a month and left me struggling to pay my bills. My initial application was denied bc I'm not a senior, disabled, a parent to a young child and I "make too much money" (I made $28k in 2021 for reference, and my mortgage alone is $1,200/mo). I appealed with a rather snarky reply and VERY much to my surprise, they approved my appeal and paid off my balance with CPS. So I wanted to give credit where it is due and say thank you to whoever approved my assistance, the help is more than appreciated.
