We received an email that we had been booked to the Alamo Suite. We followed the instructions on the email we received and we couldnt get it! We texted the number that was included in the email and received a response pretty quickly. The system showed we were in the San Jose Suite.
The room itself was spacious, clean, and cute. It was furnished well and the a/c (window unit) worked well. The shower head didnt have any options to adjust the spray but at least the water pressure was good.
At night, we could hear all the floorboards creek on the deck and in the adjacent bedroom. Unfortunately for us, the other guests were up until past 1am. We were wearing earplugs and we could still hear them.
The breakfast was delicious and very convenient.

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary here at the Inn and it was such a peaceful time. The entire staff were so friendly and the owner, Roland was so nice and talked with us a couple of times throughout our stay. With it located right next to the Riverwalk, everything was really close to get to. The breakfast freshly made each morning was great and the room was clean and tidy but still had the feel of modernness while being in a structure that had been around for over 100 years. Highly recommend!

We stayed at the Inn on the Riverwalk for our anniversary weekend. The room was very nicely appointed and the mattress was very comfortable. There were only feather pillows and would have been nice to have two Polly filled pillows instead of just the four feather ones (my preference, anyway). The room had been refurbished after the current owners purchased the Inn a little while back.
The location was PERFECT for us. Situated just steps off the Riverwalk, we walked to the downtown area for dinner along the San Antonio River and enjoyed romantic early morning and late night walks.
The freshly prepared breakfasts were delish with coffee, tea, juices and fresh fruit available. Their version of French toast (and real maple syrup) topped with strawberries, accompanied with bacon and scrambled eggs were our favorite.
They were willing to tend to any need we had and communication with the team was easy with texting.
Check in was relaxed as we weren't able to do that until the next day and we checked out via text after we departed.
We had some doubts about the state of the room when we arrived, seeing the worn buildings on the outside. We were very happy that the rooms were rehabbed. We chatted with owner, Roland, who said they chose to rehab the rooms first and will be working on the outside very shortly. So... don't be too quick to judge this book by its cover (as we did). I gave the Inn the 4 star rating for its appearance, but all 5 stars for everything else
If you can look past it's skin, the Inn is a wonderful get-a-way, not far from the fun and busy-ness of downtown San Antone, but far enough for the peace and rest, if that's what you may be looking for, like us.
Rooms: Very comfortable with great accessories.

Quiet area and great location along the riverwalk, but the Inn could definitely use a little TLC as the appearance is getting a little worn on the exterior. We stayed in the attic room across the street and the stairs going up were worn, narrow and unstable with the handrails. Some boards had recently been replaced but all of them probably should be. Since our drive got us in town just over an hour before check in time, we were told it would be an extra $35 for an early check in. Its not like we arrived at 10 AM to check in, which would make a little more sense.

Absolute best place to stay while in San Antonio. I can not say enough good things about this place. Super cute clean rooms, the breakfast each morning we were there was fantastic. Easy check in and out. The owners were amazing. Another perk is that it is within walking distance to all the activities on the River Walk. Will definitely stay here again.

Safety: Felt 100% safe while here.
Walkability: Within walking distance to the central River Walk area.
Food & drinks: The breakfast each morning was fantastic.
