Thank you for your review. After diagnosing your machine, the problem is the quality of the shocks that you used to replace the old ones. They need to be better quality, from whirlpool not what you get inexpensively online. We do charge a service fee which covers the gas for travel, diagnostics, and insurance. That fee is $85 plus tax. However, if you bring your machine into our shop, there is no charge for estimates. The correct shocks needed to fix your machine cost $115. The labor charge is $120 for that particular job. The service fee is $85. Those 3 charges add up to the $320 that fixing the machine would cost. Since we did not fix the machine, the service call fee was still collected (the $85 or $92 with tax). Sometimes fixing an appliance is not worth the cost. That will be up to the customer to decide. Our prices are competitive for the services we provide. I hope that you are able get your machine working without having to buy a new one. I'm sorry that we did not explain the costs better to you and hope you will use us in the future to service your appliances.
