Overall, it's a good community with no major concerns or issues, except for maintenance request resolution time. In my experience, most of my maintenance requests take more than a month to resolve. The reason for rating it 4 out of 5 instead of 5/5 is due to the very slow process of handling maintenance requests.

I don't recommend VTRA for the following reasons, unless you don't have another choice: 1) It's noisy: it gets too hot in Austin, so expect the AC outdoor units to be running all the time, day and night. You may have a nice balcony, but because of where they place the AC outdoor units, you won't enjoy private and quiet time on your own balcony. You will hear noise even inside your apartment. 2) It's not clean outside the apartment doors, and it's not beautiful. 3) They are contracting with a private, predatory towing company for free. If you have guests, make sure to tell them to register their car. If you forget, they will tow your car, even if you just parked a few minutes earlier and forgot to register. They won't send a reminder to residents or anything. In other words, they want you to forget so they can take your money. 4) They're not helpful when someone breaks into your car. So be careful and don't expect them to care. There are many other apartment complexes in the area. Shop around thoroughly before you come here. Hope this helps.

FEB 17, 2024 EDIT: They responded to my original review back when I posted it saying they emailed me about the issue, but I want everyone to know this was a lie. They never contacted me, and the issues still haven't been fixed nearly 6 months later. Also, my in-laws just got towed for parking in the spot closest to the "Visitor Parking" sign, which for some reason is the only spot that isn't a Visitor Parking spot. Intentionally deceptive. Original review below. "Moved in about a month ago. I really want to give this place a good review, it's a nice property and the office staff are very friendly. But I have to be honest, they have fallen very short on expectations regarding the services necessary to maintain a habitable living space. We are paying a lot of money for these services, and there's no excuse for taking someone's money and failing to provide the service agreed upon. I would advise visitors not to be fooled by their pretty swimming pool; this is not a place that will take care of you. I'll be telling all my friends in the area to avoid VATR. To summarize our complaints, we have several maintenance requests that we submitted the day we moved in that still haven't been addressed. Additionally, our unit has cockroaches, but the pest control service they charge us for every month is clearly not effective, and even lied about completing pest control work on my unit when they had not even entered. I'll elaborate further below. Regarding the pest control, we found the first cockroach in our unit on move in day, so it is definitely not our fault for lack of cleanliness. The cockroaches were there before we were. We are charged every month for pest control, so I submitted a request for interior pest control services. The guy came by on Monday and knocked on the door. It was early and I was still in bed because I didn't have work that day, but it woke me up and I went to see who it was. I was a bit slow getting to the door having had to wake up and dress, and by the time I got there, they had decided no one was home and left. They then proceeded to mark the service as complete, thinking they could get away with it because no one was home and no one would know, but I was there the whole time and can attest that no work was done because they never even entered the unit! It's one thing to be charged for a service that's ineffective, but it's another thing entirely when their employees blatantly lie about doing their work. After this incident, I went to inform the front office, but no one was there, so I messaged them via our tenant portal. I have not received a response and it's been 5 days since that message was sent. We don't leave food out, we sweep the kitchen floor and clean the counters every day for crumbs, and at this point I've encountered a total of SEVEN COCKROACHES in the one month we've lived here. I've killed them all, but who knows how many more live within our units. Regarding the maintenance requests, we told the office on day 1 that there were issues with our unit upon moving in. We have no cold water in our kitchen sink, a slow leak beneath the bathroom sink, and several interior doors that don't close properly, just to name a few. In the first two weeks, we told the office about these issues on 4 separate occasions. Each time we were assured that they were personally elevating the tickets to priority or emergency status. At the two week mark, we took it into our own hands and submitted the tickets ourselves into the maintenance portal. Here we are two weeks after that, and we are still having to wash fruits and vegetables in the bathroom because we don't have cold water in our kitchen!"

Becca truly shines as the brightest star in the VATR complex. Her warmth and welcoming spirit extend not just to me, but also to my cherished fur baby, enveloping us in a sense of belonging. Her mastery and proficiency in her role are unparalleled, making her the standout highlight of VATR.
