Carpet One, Arlington location, stands out as the place to do business. Flooring, ceramics installation, made easier thanks to excellent installers, namely Jose and crew, with close support from the store manager, Larry. All done as proposed, despite minor glitches encountered. We highly recommend Larry and Jose to lead your flooring project needs

Went into the store last week to look at carpet and was met with a helpful staff. We picked out carpet based my rough measurements and settled on a ballpark price with pictures I brought in pending final measure. The full measure appointment was setup for this morning. Unfortunately they were a no show after I arranged to take time off work. No phone call from anyone at the store. I am disappointed as I was ready to buy and move forward. Starting over with someone else now.

Ordered vinyl plank and carpet. The vinyl was installed and the installers did a good job. After the vinyl was installed was called by someone setting up the appointment for the carpet. After 3 install dates to install the carpet, all of the dates were a no show. On the 3rd appointment that was a no-show, no one had the courage to call to tell me they were not coming.

Very bad experience! Had to replace our wood floors due to water damage. After 2 different installations all the flooring had to be removed. Twice. This was due to incorrect installation, they hammered the wood instead of using tapping blocks. We had cracks, dents and gaps all over the floor. Original floor was Armstrong and 100 percent wood. Armstrong sold to Hartco which is only wood veneer on the top and bottom. We were told it was the same floor just a different manufacturer. It was nowhere close, it was like cardboard. We had used this company 6 years ago and they did a great job. We would never use them again though. I would give them a 0 rating if I could. Here are a few pictures of damage that was done.

My husband and I met with Carpet One in early March after buying a new house to replace some carpet with different flooring, and initially we felt very positive about going forward with this company. Our salesman came to our house and did our consult, then showed us potential laminate flooring that would match the rest of the house. We were charged about $3500 for around 300 square feet of flooring and service with the laminate being about $7 a square foot. When the contractor came to remove and install the flooring, it became clear that the flooring type was not going to be able to be installed without issue. The salesman initially proposed that we spend an additional $3,000 to make it work, which we had not planned on. My husband and I are both teachers, and we had not been ready to spend double what we had agreed on, especially after buying a new house. We assumed that since the salesman had come to our residence that he would have been able to provide more insight. After speaking with the contractor, we realized this would be a $3,000 band aid. We opted for glue down vinyl flooring instead with the same company. This was in our master bedroom and closet, so we waited two weeks with our bed on the floor of our office and our clothes stuffed in other locations during that time. Multiple times, our salesman was hard to reach, and he was not forthcoming with problem solving for us. He did not give us an updated invoice for the service until almost a week after the full install of the material--after shipping, after acclimating, and after installation. We asked for an invoice the day we ordered the new vinyl, multiple times over the phone after the vinyl had been installed, and the day of installation. The invoice came out to more than $800 over what we had initially paid for, and this was after all was said and done with no forewarning. We went ahead and paid the amount to get past the headache. The contractors were professional and courteous and did a nice job, but our experience with the store was poor. If you go with this company, then please plan to take steps to ensure you are getting what you pay for and that the salespeople are being up front.
