Sidney James Mountain Lodge - Downtown Gatlinburg

Within walking distance to town. Bathroom was very small, but everything was clean. Hot tub and pool were amazing! Everyone was super friendly. Overall it was an excellent stay.

We had a Dog, so I assumed we wouldn't get the greatest room. We had to retrieve our own towels on day 2, and we got no cleaning service between days.

It would have a 5 star if the room didn't have so many cracks in the walls, ceiling, Jacuzzi area and if it had ceiling mirrors as advertised. The staff was wonderful, the location was perfect. We had a toddler with us who could handle walking to the strip but struggled towards the end of the day so having the free trolley drop off at our hotel was super handy, especially with all the rain. The pools were really nice and kept clean. The hot tub was warm and secluded away from the pool. The fireplace was really nice to have especially when weather went from 85 degrees one day to snowing the next afternoon. The view isn't what it was cracked out to be. We thought we'd see the riverbed but instead it was a giant parking lot with the tiny Creek bed down below. I also wish they had continental breakfast. The little "restaurant" is insanely expensive for the quality of food, which wasn't good. Very disappointed in the cafe Walkability: It's about a mile to the main strip, easy walk, especially for fit people.

We have stayed there for years and will continue to do so. The room are clean and comfortable and it is American owned. Nearby activities: Just moments from downtown. Safety: Well lit and always seems safe around the hotel. Walkability: You can walk to the strip from the hotel or if you like you can ride the tram.

Fast check in procedure, ease of finding my room and clean room and grounds. Friendly staff.
