Got ready to rent my car, was given an upgrade to Cadillac and loved every minute of driving for 2 weeks!

After spending 2 days in the Denver airport, I was able to fly into GSP so that I could drive home to Charlotte. I booked a car through my corporate travel function to drive to Charlotte one way on June 28. I arrived at the GSP Avis counter and was met by Claire who didnt offer any salutation or acknowledgment. I state my name, and I state that I have a 3:30pm est reservation. Claire states that she tried to run the card. This is my personal credit card and it is locked at this time because I was in Denver. I gave her my other personal card which was declined because it was locked as well. I had to ask repeatedly for the Wi-Fi so that I could get a signal to unlock the card. I unlocked it and the car was charged to my personal account. I lock my cards due to previous fraud. Claire was highly agitated. However, I asked Claire why she was running my personal card when it was booked via my corporate travel function. She just stated that Avis could not to split transactions. And I was further confused because that was not what I was asking. Claire proceeds to roll her eyes and sigh loudly because of my questions. I then asked Claire was there a problem with the corporate card and what was the problem. I also asked if this location accepted corporate cards. I didnt know what the situation was so I was seeking clarity. At this point she stated YES, of course we accept corporate cards in a very condescending tone as if I lack comprehension. She then proceeded to mock me and repeated the statement in a high pitched overly happy tone. It was at this point that I asked her was there a problem with me personally and that I didnt understand why her tone of voice was so defensive. I also stated that she is clearly over the situation but I wish to seek to understand. Claire then held up the key and contract and thrust them towards me. I was so shocked I asked her what was going on. She replied you said that I was over it so do you want me to continue talking or shut my mouth. I was super surprised. At this point, Im so frustrated Im shaking and almost in tears but was never disrespectful because I am a head of Human Resources and understand how sympathy works. Claire attempted to apologize after seeing physically distraught but I advised that she should have some compassion. She then stated that she saw my reservation was booked under my company but she still did not provide any explanation as to why I still had to pay from my personal accounts.

A fantastic attendant helped me get to my car due to my total knee surgery and would have had a hard time walking there.
