We rented with Southland Properties for a year, and I have nothing but great things to say about them! They were easy to work with, and our maintenance requests were always met promptly. I would gladly rent from them again.

Easily the best experience I've ever had renting an apartment. My landlord was so on it and so attentive at all hours of the day & evening. Always got back to me so promptly. Awesome apartment, incredible location, great landlord. Loved living here. Christine has her ducks in a row and makes you feel like you're important.

I rented from Southland for a year and they NEVER did repairs in a prompt manner. I waited months and paid the highest market value for this property the entire time. Everything is deemed "non-essential" or they have to wait for something else first or they hire people to do the work that are not qualified. Took two weeks to get the furnace to work when winter started; locks were not re-keyed for 3.5 months after move-in; closet and bedroom doors did not close and latch for 5 months; one of the external doors was not properly sealed from the outside for 7 months (which allowed bugs to walk into the bedroom all that time) and mold was reported 3 months ago and remediation never happened. What owner proposed for mold repair work was a health hazard if done while someone lived there and they refused to pay for alternate accommodations for that work to be an option. My experience is they either subtly bully me to move out or by citing how high rents are downtown. This is not downtown and the rent here is the second highest of all the units rented in this complex. Very unhappy renter here.
