W Philadelphia

When we arrived at check in time (3:30) we were told our room was not ready despite doing mobile check in 2 hrs prior. The excuse was "the hotel was busy". I get that it was busy but when you are paying $900 for a weekend the room should be ready when you arrive. And we didn't arrive earlier than the designated check in time. We had a wedding event to get to asap and we were told "get ready in the bathroom". Suddenly there was a room available when I said that was not acceptable. And then our toilet ran all night and was disturbing but we were so busy with events we didn't have time to address it with staff. It was a nice hotel and the room was clean and comfy but not the service I expect for a $900+ hotel stay. And our car smelled like weed when we picked it up from the valet.

The W is always a W in my book no matter what city I'm in. The lobby bar is filled with a diverse upscale crowd and great music. I will all ways find a W for an after dinner drink if I'm unsure where to go. Hotel highlights Luxury More
