Regency House

Regency apartments at Lindy Community has been a great experience for me because they friendly staff and property managers. Also they have a good janitorial crew who comes promptly when a problem arises in your apartment. Also they a pretty much safe community. Overall, a good place to rent an apartment.

Cianni is literally the best. Loved the location but the train would get a bit loud but If u dont mind that it would be a good choice

I moved here in Spring 2022. things were fine at first. its an outdated apartment in a rougher area- it wasn't great but it was doable. Its right next to train tracks which was louder than expected but I got used to it pretty fast. After living there for 1 month my boyfriend was carjacked & mugged on their property. They didn't do anything about it. I spoke with them multiple times about not feeling safe there & concerns about the building security/their cameras & pa system never working properly. They dismissed me every time. Then there was a shooting outside the main building which they sent a very vague email about & never mentioned again. Then I was nearly mugged on their property a month later. this was all within the first 2-3 months of living there. By august/september there was a mouse infestation that maintenance brushed off saying they'd add me to their list & someone would be there in "a week or so." i expressed concern due to having an esa but was ignored. by the time an exterminator finally showed up the mice were so bad they were eating my shirts. i was still having issues weeks later & maintenance never showed up to fix the spot the mice were coming in from despite me putting in multiple requests/calling (& them telling me they'd be back in the morning to fix it while the exterminator was there). i never saw an exterminator again. I managed to find a way to amicably end my lease early. i was told i should get my security deposit back within a month, which they're legally required to give you within 30 days & or an itemized bill showing why you weren't given the whole deposit back. after 6 weeks I contacted them & was ignored. this went on for at least a month- me calling/emailing but hearing nothing in return. they eventually emailed me a bill showing they owed me money as well as double charging me for a fee that wasn't valid but still never sent a check despite the bill showing they owed me. i continued contacting them for a month with nothing. i ended up emailing them with multiple sources showing they were breaking landlord-tenant laws- they sent me a check within a week. it was less than what they legally owed me but i was so tired of dealing with these people that i didnt have the energy to fight it. I didn't even live there for 8 months yet a lifetime of trauma occured to me & people I love. I'd highly suggest renting anywhere else
