I just wanted to post about an unusual experience I had with my homes HVAC. The fan wasnt working on my Trane XR 13. I called a different company. They gave me advice that had red flags going up like crazy so I called this outfit and spoke with a gentleman named Mark. This man may have saved me a lot of money by simply giving me advise. The other outfit advised that I keep my unit running all night even though the fan wasnt working. What turns out was a bad capacitor couldve been much more expensive, as in a bad compressor. I dont know, it seems like a good analogy would be a vehicles car fan not running. Wouldnt my engine overheat if the fan wasnt turning? Of course.
