Hampton Inn & Suites Hershey

Wrong room type, HVAC not working and smelled of trash since they don't clean the rooms daily so everyone puts their smelly trash in the hallway.

Every time the place looks more neglected. I think they lack more staff in high seasons when they receive people who are hired to the United States. There are suitcases everywhere. There are people in all the hallways and stairs. They start making calls outside the rooms and with the speakerphone there is a lot of garbage in The entrance is full of smokers, it's a total mess and the rooms are more neglected. I've talked to some of them and they put up to four people in flights for two people with a single bed, it's total chaos.

Wonderful stay. Attentive staff, clean and well-appointed rooms. We were there over Easter weekend which coincided with Spring Break, so the whole town was an unmitigated dumpster fire with crowds and kids, including the hotel, but somehow, the staff kept the place humming along and there were ZERO disruptions from kids screaming etc. Will absolutely stay again.

I have a unique POV for my family. We stayed in town at two different hotels...down the street from each other. I had the pleasure of visiting both locations on a daily basis so I have some comparisons. Hilton Pros (Suite): Full kitchen: full size fridge and freezer, electric stove, dishwasher, dishes, glasses, silverware, pots/pans, cooking utensils. Coffee maker (no k-cups), Pull out sleeper sofa. Pets allowed for flat fee. Customer service was top notch! Breakfast was amazing and comes standard for each guest! Homemade self-serve waffles! Tons of amazing restaurants in walking distance or a short drive. Hilton Cons: It's time for new carpets. While you'd always see the staff cleaning, there was a stench in the room which we discovered seemed to be in the carpet. We had to buy Febreeze and plug in room deorderizers. Majority of the rooms light came from windows. It was dim (lamps) which made the room great for sleeping but the day time hours were gloomy. TV wouldn't work with HDMI cord for laptop (working, projecting for streaming TV). It was there but if you plugged it in...nothing happened. Settings button on remote didn't make changes. Nice to know: Wifi is free but if you want streaming fast/VPN capabilities. It's $5 a day. In comparison to BW+.: Pros: It was brighter in the rooms. Carpets were good. They also allowed pets for a flat fee. Customer service was just as amazing! The HDMI cord worked and we streamed TV and hooked laptop to use as additional monitor. Rooms come with a safe available. Cons: Rooms were smaller, mini fridge (but they had a Kurig for k-cups), breakfast wasn't the best. Free wifi...not fast nor is there a faster one for a fee being offered.
