We were informed of my forced retirement 3 weeks before it was to occur. As you can imagine, we were in a panic to find a Medicare advantage plan for myself and private insurance for my wife. We went to the marketplace and that was way too overwhelming. It occurred to me to call the insurance agent that I have trusted for the last 20+ years. I didnt even know if they sold this type of insurance. We were connected to Shannon at about 4:45pm. Honestly I was hoping to make an appointment at best. Shannon recognized the urgency of our situation with the holidays fastly approaching, stayed late and took care of both our new policies by 6:30pm. We were able to finally relax.
