Oh man. if you like bizarre mistakes and overpaying this is your team. As far as i can tell, my current lawyer charges like 70% less. SYK do have nice offices though. Great view of us little people down below i am sure.

Went through a very rough situation with DHS/APS during an investigation. Timothy R and the staff at SYK not only helped give me peace of mind from the stresses of an investigation, but did so at a very affordable and fair price for my financial situation. Very satisfied with the help I got.

I took a case to them as my sister had stolen my mother's money. They stated that I would be able to rely on them to determine if I had a valid case. Several weeks after I investigated this I brought bank account information to them showing my sister transferred all of my mother's Oregon accounts to Florida through online transactions. I gave the documents to an attorney in this firm. After paying them thousands of dollars they stated that I didn't have a case. I checked the accounts and found that my sister was receiving required minimum distributions from my mother's IRA. Distributions start at 70 years. My sister was 40. When I brought it to their attention they said I didn't have to pay the additional billed to me after I paid them over $5,000 in fees. They did not refund my money even though they missed the most important clue in the case. I paid for all the investigations. I got nothing from them but a bill

Mr. Wieland sat on my case so long without action, he cost critical time that should have been spent ensuring I received proper documentation and accounting of assets. It took up to two weeks to get responses on simple questions. Really, his behavior was unethical at best. Because of his inaction and the state of the world, I was forced to walk away from obtaining answers that will haunt me for the rest of my life not to mention the $300k that appears to have been stolen by my ne'er do well sister. This is the second time I've been burned by a fellow alum from U of P. Unconscienable!
