Absolutely wonderful branch and superb customer service especially with over-the-phone account balances and transfers. All of my questions are always answered promptly and I am never rushed!

This isn't the umpqua bank I began with years ago. High fees, ponzi schemes, tiny Zelle limits, and you can't even make a wire transfer online, from home. umpqua needs new leadership across the board, they've failed their customers. Or, feds need to shut it down. I can't Imagine why anyone's still with umpqua (me included). Total disappointment in every facet.

Today I redeemed a large Series EE bond at the Umpqua Bank Sellwood branch on SE 13th in Portland. The Umpqua Rep was Andrew Sorensen who was efficient, courteous, and extremely helpful. I utilized Umpqua because my primary bank (for the past 60 years!!), U.S. Bank will no longer redeem bonds for their long time customers! U.S. now requires that you send the bond to the U.S. Treasury for redemption. This process takes up to 13 weeks to get your monies due to their lack of service these days! It was indeed refreshing to find that there is still a bank in town that provides true customer service and put their customers above corporate profits! I am seriously considering moving all my banking to this small, customer driven Umpqua branch because of this one instance. Kudos Andrew and Umpqua Bank!!!

Umpqua bank is not the same bank I signed up with over 20 years ago. Find yourself a new bank with some customer service because Umpqua doesn't have any.

if you like paying a lot of fees this is the bank for you. I travel to Canada a lot. Umpqua charges you every time you use your debit or credit card in Canada. they charge you to buy Canadian money and they charge you 15.00 to put unused money back into your account. I am closing my account and taking my business to BECU where they don't charge you ridiculous fees. so if you like wasting your money this is the bank for you

About
Umpqua Bank - CLOSED
Umpqua Bank is helping people, businesses, and communities build economic vitality for the greater good. Most banks treat their customers like customers. We treat our customers like people. You, your life, your money management style—all things that are more important to us than the size of your balance. We pair financial expertise with a passion for getting to know you as an individual—and it’s not just because we’re looking for new gym buddies. We’re on a mission to help you manage your money in a way that matches how you live your life. To do that, we’re committed to learning more about you than your account number. That’s why we take the time to understand how banking fits into your bigger picture, and give you the easy access and mobile tools you need to manage your money on your own terms. It’s why our branches feel more like a living room than a bank branch. And why our associates will always remember your name. We’ve grown beyond our roots as a small community bank, but the spirit of community will always be at the center of everything we do.
