Umpqua Bank

Don't bank here. I was looking for a good small local bank to use for my small construction business in Portland. They are absolutely not it. I consistently had difficulties accessing their online system (which is almost useless even when its working) and no one at the Hawthorne location could help claiming that help with business accounts could only be done on the phone. I've spent countless hours on the phone to access my account to no avail. I finally left the bank and started a new business account at another bank. When I went to reach out to Umpqua about accessing my old information for my yearly taxes, they were surprisingly cooperative on the phone and sent me my records a couple weeks later along with a bill for 120 dollars! 120 dollars as a fee for sharing my information with me over email. No fee was ever discussed with me and now I'll have to wait again on hold to even discuss it. This place is a small businessman's nightmare. Steer clear.

The rudest clerks on earth. Two things happen when bank clerks treat customers badly 1. Customers withdraw their money and 2. Customers give bad reviews to warn off potential customers.

Their treatment of CD depositors is unconscionable. I am a hard "no" on this whole company. Their investment products offer substandard rates and terms and you can lose money on your CD with fees/inflation factored in.
