DO NOT RENT FROM HERTZ!! They gave me the electric only vehicle with half charge. I had the vehicle a total of 4 hours (one of which I was charging the car) and it broke down in the middle of the freeway. Because of the danger, the police towed the vehicle. Hertz not only did NOT replace the vehicle but they are still charging me for the vehicle 5 days later, since they have not retrieved their car from the tow lot. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! They won't return my calls as promised and the manager is very unwilling to help. Save yourself the time and stress. DONT RENT FROM HERTZ

I prepaid for a truck but they called me 30 minutes before and said there's no truck. If you cancel a prepaid the fee is almost as much as the rental cost. There is no clear procedure on what happens a prepaid vehicle isn't available. Also other people that reserved a small car were forced to pay a $10/day upgrade fee since they didn't have the small cars. Standard practice at other places is to put them in the next available class without changing extra. I ended up getting a different vehicle so I wouldn't lose all my money. It took 55 minutes to get through the line. The agent was friendly.
