I was convinced by my ex-husband's family to start banking with Bank Of America in 2018. The first couple years were absolutely phenomenal. Customer service was on top of things and very helpful. I felt very secure banking with them. I feel like part of the reason they where so nice was because I was student banking. (I was going through college when I signed up.)
Now, it's the exact opposite. I've had my card frozen, with a replacement sent, without any form of knowledge, twice. When I called I was told it was because of suspicious activity. The customer service has been lacking, I work in customer service and understand how hard it can be to work with the public but when someone is being respectful and understanding, while being chewed out by the person on the phone, makes for bad customer service not just the customers.
BofA charges me $5 every time I pull money out, even tho it states the out of network fee is $2.50-$3. I'm losing a significant amount of money every time I pull money out. Significant in the way, I'm barely making it paycheck to paycheck, that $5 would be used for food or household products instead of absolutely nothing. I can't wait to shut my account down.
