    DO NOT LIVE HERE!!! All five star reviews are from maintenance and the front office requesting five stars so that they can get bonuses on their checks. I have been a resident of Apex on Perkins for the past two years and in those two years I have had numerous issues with management and staff. In November of 2023 I discovered mold growing on my air vents. When maintenance replaced the vent covers they told us to just turn on the heat and that will kill the mold. I did not accept that solution and requested that they send someone to professionally clean the vents. They did not book those professionals until over a month later, causing us to live with moldy vents for that time. Summer of 2023 my AC went out. It was not replaced for over a month even though I made MULTIPLE maintenance requests. They also moved someone into our apartment without any prior notice to the current residents. This new roommate had a dog and I have a cat, this could have been a very dangerous situation for both of our animals if either one of them were aggressive. What is really causing me to write a review, though, is how they have handled my apartment flooding. In January of this year the boiler outside of my room burst in the middle of the night causing my room to flood. I called the emergency line six times with no answer. I finally had to call the fire department to turn off the water and stop the flooding. When maintenance finally did answer and I requested to be put into a different apartment for the night they put me in a truly DISGUSTING accommodation. There were bugs, dirty laundry, the toilet was unusable, and the fire alarm was not connected. I opted out of staying there and went to stay with a friend instead. When I brought the issue up to management a few days later expecting compensation, as stated in the lease, I was met with anger and resentment. They told me that they gave their staff multiple options for accommodations so I will not be compensated. These others options were not given to me. Now, three months later, my carpet has yet to be cleaned from this incident and I am living in a different room. I have access to the flooded room and my personal belongings, but the smell causes me to avoid it at all costs. I have not even been able to stay in there long enough to assess damages. I have been in contact with corporate throughout this entire experience. Corporate has promised me that they would compensate me, which they have not, and they also promised to get my carpet cleaned. I am now being ghosted by the corporate office with no solution in sight. If you are a college student looking for a cheap place to live LOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE! The cheap rent is not worth the stress that this place has caused me. They have an awful staff and even worse conflict resolution. They do not care about their tenants at all and will battle you for demanding to uphold the lease agreement.
