Staybridge Suites Columbus - Worthington, an IHG Hotel

Been staying here off and on for a few years now. With each trip the hotel seems to me getting progressively worse. No consistency in the cleanliness or the dishware and such that are supposed to accompany each room.

Service and location great however room sub par. Floor needed to be vacuum. Coffee machine on counter was dirty. My girlfriend said sheets made her itchy, suggest stay bridge use gentle detergent for everyone eliminating this problem. Wi-Fi does not work with xumo stream box for anyone wondering. Can connect newer Samsung to wifi, turn off mobile data especially if you don't have unlimited, use mobile Hotspot to share wifi to other devices. Work around not the best. I recommend using Verizon 5g home internet, works great solid connection during my stay. Update Also woke up early for breakfast starts 6:30 am, not ready only had coffee, orange juice, and blueberry muffins. Stay bridge highly suggest updating time on paper.

I have stayed at this hotel before and I might have given it 3-4 stars then. It has declined considerably. The rooms were filthy. The first room we were in reeked like cigarette smoke. The second room smelled good but it was filthy. I'm not sure if housekeeping is understaffed or untrained. The mirrors and tvs had smears across them like they cleaned it with furniture polish instead of window cleaner. The sink was cracked (why is the hand soap mounted on the far side of the vanity away from the sink? ) the bathtub had mildew in it. The utility closet was open in the bathroom. The water was cold. I couldn't get it warm enough to shower. Only enough to get marginally clean. The doors were filthy. The one plus was the front desk staff. Chanel and Monique (or Monica) were super friendly and helpful. Nearby activities: I love the location. It's near to all the things I like to do in Columbus and it's a safe neighborhood, but there are other hotels in the same area that I prefer.
