We had Paramount for many years and really appreciated their Street Safe driving course for teens. In the last few years, however, their customer service has been disappointing. My son switched a couple years ago because of poor follow-up but we hung in there. In the Spring, I was notified by a company Paramount uses for insurance management that it was hacked and our info was potentially compromised. Paramount never reached out about our data. A short time later our bank sent us mail saying that our homeowners policy had lapsed and the bank was about to purchase coverage and charge us for it. I sent the bank our declarations page and asked Sharon Shives to verify that there were no hiccups that wouldve caused it to change since it was issued. I never heard back from her. Last month, we sold our house, and called her to cancel our policy. She said we would receive a pro-rated refund in 2 weeks. I waited almost a month, still nothing. This time I decided to bypass our agent and called the insurance company directly. The cancellation had never been submitted. The insurance company reached out to Sharon and asked for the signed cancellation paperwork. She couldnt locate it and asked me to resend, so I found the month old email and resent. Not even an apology for dropping the ball. I dont have the time to twice-check whether someone else is doing their job. We switched.

We are new to the state of NC. Our neighbor referred us to Sharon Shives at Paramount Insurance for our auto insurance needs. We are so glad we went with them. Excellent experience. She was so quick and expedient. Answered any questions we had right away. Sharon is very friendly and helpful. We are happy to be a part of the Paramount agency family.
