Service department is full of amatuers.. one of my cousin went in for an oil change and left with an over-torque filter which cause major oil spills... imagine if it was an airplane flying across the ocean?

Im a quality guy trade and it pays to listen to your customer. I come in for alignment and tell them my plans and what Ive done to my truck, lifted with UCA and I need and wanted to run bigger tires. I thought this would be the place to go since they claim to do this all the time. I run 275/70/17 at the moment and Im wanting to go with 285/75/17s. Service guy says he will quote me tires and I say okay but he quotes me 265/70/17 tires? Didnt listen to his customer and also get truck back from alignment and the measurements are within spec but not set to run bigger tires. They needed to be pulled forward so yeah the truck rides good but will have pay for another alignment because they didnt listen to their customer and what I was asking for.

My wife and I were shopping for a new car for her. We had fairly specific wants and budget. Typically the process of car hunting, viewing, test drives etc.. is a burden, overly time consuming and though a necessity, not something we typically look forward to. We happen to be passing Mike Johnson's Hickory Toyota and thought to pop in on our way to another dealership. We had the fortune to be greeted by Phillip Curtis who proceeded to change our view on the car buying experience. Phillip listened to what we were looking for, was patient, professional, friendly and attentive. We looked at a particular vehicle that seemed to tick almost all the boxes but were not ready to purchase. It was not 100% what we were looking for. Bare in mind, we had already been looking for a while before visiting Mike Johnson's Hickory Toyota and we are not spring chickens and have a lot of vehicle buying experience spanning 30+ years and not just for us but our (now grown) children as well. Despite the time Phillip spent with us he was not perturbed that we were not ready to purchase. We called it a day and he assured us he would reach out should a suitable vehicle turn up. I have heard that from many sales folks over the years but none delivered so I was very impressed when Phillip contacted us shortly after our visit and let us know he had a car in that he thought we would be interested in. He was right, it was 100% what we were looking for! Needless to say, I went straight over to the dealership met with Phillip, test drove the car and let him know we are interested. My wife was not with me and she has the final say as it is for her. He had no problem holding onto it for us until my wife could get there, test drive it and also proceeded to love it. Our experience with Phillip has been terrific and after the sale that is usually where sales folks roles / participation ends. Well, we had a need to bring the car in for a service for an item a couple of weeks after buying it. Phillip again was attentive, helped set up the service and assisted even though it was post sales. I wanted to write this review to let others know that if you are looking for a vehicle and are able to get to Mike Johnsons Toyota in Hickory, then go ask for Phillip Curtis. Mike Johnsons Hickory Toyota not only honor their warranties without hassle, they have a wonderful show room and service center. Again, be sure to ask for Phillip. He is my go to now and who I recommend to any in my network that may be looking for a vehicle purchase - new or used! Thank you Phillip & Mike Johnsons Toyota Hickory for looking after us. You turned the car buying process into a pleasurable experience.

service was fine. My issue and this will not be addressed as I tried yesterday is that the motor issue is a know problem but would not warranty it. If I can google the issue and multiple complaints popup then it is a manufacturer issue. I have bought several Toyota vehicles but this Rav4 will be my last. It has been more maintenance than the 2006 Camry that I bought new and still drive with 320000 miles and counting.
