Avis Car Rental

This was the worst car rental experience I have ever had in my life. Did not provide me the car I reserved. Charged me $50 for cleaning even though I returned the vehicle clean. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION - dishonest and deceitful people, bad business practices, gouge you with illegitimate fees and charges. Take my advice and stay away

Ms. Veronica & her team are amazing & professional. No, you can't please everyone, but their hospitality & professionalism go a long way. I normally rent from the airport; this location was convenient at the time. It is a smaller location compared to major facilities, but it didn't stop me from moving forward. Treat others how you want to be treated. Look forward to renting again..

Third time's a charm... yet again, prebooked my rental 6 weeks in advance just to be told AGAIN at the time of pick up, that the vehicle size I booked wasn't available... fair enough... real costumer service means to offer a free upgrade to the next available size- since I was holding a booking - however not at this AVIS location. Since they are the only location in the Charlotte DT area, they know you depend on a car - and of course I was offered an upgrade for a surcharge of 50 bucks with an attitude. 'Take it or leave it' - I dont care... I also was told to rent from AVIS at CLT airport if I am depending on car in the future... as mentioned earlier, this happened to me now 3 times in a row at this location- well guess am following their employees advice and renting at CLT taking my business to a different Rental Car provider - AVIS Costumer Service at its best!

Our flight from Charlotte, NC to Ft. Myers, FL was canceled. When I called Avis to inquire about a rental, the representative suggested using the Hilton Hotel rather than the airport pick up location. No waiting in line, the car was ready, and a very pleasant Avis person to work with. No stress in a very stressful situation. Also, the drop off location in Port Charlotte, FL was much easier than going to the airport.
