Wow, these folks must have some serious PR to boost their score. My experience with them was horrible from start to end. We were put in touch with a Mr. AP here, and it took five tries in the portal, and several phone calls just to confirm our documents had been received. The preparers can just decide not to use the online services. Then there was no update. No confirmation. Several more unreturned phone calls. Now it's past the submission deadline, and we finally get copies of the filed return. But the out of state process seems incomplete. More calls, more run-around, 'scheduled callbacks' that never happened, and we're told everything is fine. Well, then, where's the refund the paperwork says we're due? It took months, and dozens of calls, and a half-dozen 'um, yeah, it's probably fine! it'll come soon!' messages to get to a competent HR Block employee in the midwest. There was a signature line in the middle of the return that I'd not filled in -- I'd asked if we had to do anything else, or send any more forms, and was told repeatedly that we did not. They told me they'd filed electronically, and I'd signed electronically, so I was good to go. That was just plain wrong. I signed the form, sent it in, had the money in two days. These preparers run out the door the minute they turn in paperwork and disappear for half the year. So if there are problems, or questions, you're just out of luck. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. Find a friend who's had a good experience, at HR block or elsewhere, and try to use the same preparer. These guys are an absolute mess.
