Winding Creek Apartments

Have lived here for a year- and just renewed my lease! The office staff are very communicative, friendly, and go the extra mile for you. Maintenance staff and requests are incredibly quick to respond. The apartments are very clean, modern, and luxurious. The pool in the summer is very nice and a big plus to living here. There are ample places to walk/bike, too. Most importantly, you will be renting from good people who know you and your pet by name. I feel very safe and relaxed being here.

I lived here for 4 years. The other reviewers are correct about the lack of sound-proofing. The "wood-like floors" they tout as "luxurious" means that you can hear your neighbors as they walk across the floor above you in heels, or constantly drop things on those bare, carpet-less floors. They say it's to be expected that you hear you neighbors "occasionally" when you live in an apartment complex; EVERY DAY I had to put up with barking dogs that sounded like they were in the apartment with me. And in the four years I lived in my apartment, the apartment above me had 3 different tenants, each one with a louder-barking dog than the one before. The only reason I didn't give a lower rating is that maintenance was very responsive to my needs. That being said, there is nothing worse than being woken up in the middle of the night by your smoke alarm going off randomly. (I am not a smoker, so it wasn't because of me. It's cheap smoke detectors that were installed.) This happened on several occasions, and the maintenance man said this was happening in other apartments as well. I won't go into the atrocious parking situation as others have stated it well in their reviews. While I lived there, I always paid my rent on time. Winding Creek never had a problem with me. Yet once I moved out, all friendliness disappeared. A carpet in one of the rooms had to be replaced, and they emailed me with what I owed. Because I was in the middle of moving into another place, I didn't see the email. However, I did see the email they sent me four days later, threatening me with a collection agency for not paying. Really? Only four days and I'm threatened with Collections? Not even a friendly reminder email! (And I was prompt in paying the over $4000 for breaking the lease early.) Absolutely no respect for a long-time resident, who quite frankly couldn't wait to get out because of the loud and unfriendly neighbors, and the cheap quality of the apartment. If you have another choice of a place to live, please go there. Winding Creek is vastly overpriced.

Since moving in to our townhome in 2023 we have been thrilled with communication from management, the groundskeepers and maintenance. Very friendly neighbors and a safe atmosphere even for little ones!

Why the unprofessional attitude from Janell. Communication is important to start so I'll pass on continuing business here let alone moving here. Research shows too many similar complaints as is. Berkeley Properties please step up on hire and management.

Lovely townhouses & apartments, beautiful ponds and plenty of walking area for your pets (a dog park would be a great addition). Very close to the schools, shopping, & restaurants yet it doesnt feel that way due to the property being surrounded by wooded area with filled with wildlife. This communitys greatest asset, the manager Janell Erickson! Janell goes above and beyond to help in any way, then makes you feel like family!
