There's a reason why you need to call the person that you're visiting for them to let you in. This is for the safety of the residents and so there's a record of who is coming and going. Resident's and visitors have no problem letting people into the building that don't belong. How do I know they don't belong? They have no key to get into the building and the person that they've come to visit aren't answering their phone. When confronted about entering the building illegally, because that's what it's called when you enter a private residence with no key or access from the person you are visiting, the person (people) that you're confronting say things like, "I know, " and "I don't care." The second issue I have is with the parking lot. I didn't realize that I had moved to Florida next to the Daytona Race Track. That's the ignorant, inconsiderate, blocking sidewalks, roadways and speeding that I've encountered here. There are resident's that are trying to walk around at all hours of the day with friends, by themselves or with their pets while the weather is still nice. It is not nice nor is it appropriate for people to drive like idiots. The third thing I've observed is at last check, we as a country, and as a nation are still in the middle of a pandemic. The resident's that live in this building are susceptible to COVID 19, and are in what we call a higher risk pool due to age and medical conditions. Small gatherings, (between 5 and 15 people) still require masks. Someone in this small group could be asymptomatic and NOT know it. What harm could it do to wear a mask should you choose to have a gathering? What harm could it do to wear a mask in the common areas of this building. I understand that most people view wearing a mask as inconvenient or for "others comfort." It is NOT for one individual to decide who lives and who dies. That's what you're doing when you choose to leave your home, apartment, wherever and go visit friends,(in this building, do laundry, get your mail), or go to a restaurant without a mask on. There are signs everywhere reminding people to put a mask on, wash their hands, check on their friends. Those signs weren't put there to waste the colorful paper that they're on. Pay Attention to where you are and what you're doing. The life that you save could be your own.
