First Republic Bank

They denied me the right to open a business account because of an address mess up and they are very discriminating. I think that there employees are not well trained when it comes to banking. I spoke with a lady named Sarah tecla and shes 40 years old supposed to be a manager and live in Connecticut working at a bank in NYC trying to tell me that my address is too far when it right down the block. Very discriminating bank. And its been reported that they have fake reviews to make theyre bank look more attractive.

Have been a client for 12 years. This bank cost me my dream home due to their inability to correctly perform an international wire transfer (error on their part). Taking over 1 week to resolve (still not resolved) Doug McNulty assigned as senior banker is non-responsive by phone/email even after days of escalation. I get novice staff who read scripts and hang up on you. It's a privilege to serve you?

FR drew my attention when I saw on the web that it offers a personal line of credit. Even though the website indicates a 7 to 10 year term choice, within minutes of my conversation I was informed that their product would be stay a LOC for two years, then convert to a regular loan. So it is a way for this bank to attract customers. I really do not mean it in a negative way but I dont understand it. From that point on I lost my interest, but hey I could be wrong. The person who I dealt with had the right demeanor.

This is a five star review for First Republic Bank. I formerly banked with Chase in their "Private Client" program, which in essence, is nothing more than an over-glorified marketing program. I discovered FR after searching for a top-shelf, high-end private bank when I decided I wasn't happy with Chase.  Superb, professional, top-notch service. And, the cookies are a nice touch.
