        This is the worst bank Ive ever dealt with in 40 years; the staff is snooty and cold. They have the personality of a runway model: arrogant and rude at all levels. The mortgage department couldnt lock in a rate after three days of endless games and nonsensical explanations. Whereas Community Bank literally gave us the same product and locked in TWO HOURS! Supervisors at Tompkins dont return calls. When I canceled my account at Tompkins they charged me $20. Its ridiculous.

        If you are looking for a bank that truly cares for your concerns and to help you navigate life (as they state in the description on the website about the bank) THIS IS NOT THE ONE. Supervisors and anyone of importance in this company are extremely rude and lie about what they will do for the customers.

        The Tompkins Trust company has been my primary bank since I moved to Ithaca in 1966. Have briefly tried other banks but TCTC has the best locations and number of ATM's. They handled our mortgage , checking and home equity loans with courtesy and full disclosure.
